A Two-day Study Tour for International Students was Held
From Friday, December 6 to Saturday, December 7, 2024, a two-day study tour for international students and researchers was held to provide Japanese cultural experiences.This program, held once a year, aims to provide international students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture through experience. Additionally, it promotes interaction among international students, making their time in Japan more enriching.
This year, under the theme of “Learn about natural phenomena caused by geographical conditions and Japanese industrial technology,” 17 participants visited Awaji Island and Tokushima Prefecture.
Over the two days, the group visited Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Nojima Fault and Hokudan Earthquake Memorial Park, Naruto whirlpools, and Otsuka Museum of Art. They also experienced the traditional culture of the region, including Awa-odori dance and Awa Ningyo Joruri puppet show.
Participants shared comments such as, "It was a really enjoyable experience and I learned a lot about Japanese culture and history that will stay with me for a long time," "It was a wonderful experience in between studying and it was very refreshing," and "I hope we will have a trip like this every year".
